We offer several versions of this program that are tailored to specific vehicles:
School Buses with wheelchair passengers. For vehicles transporting wheelchair passengers a certified tie-down specialist should properly secure special needs passengers in public and private transportation. The latest equipment and existing technology are demonstrated in the classroom on mock-ups. Participants get “hands on” experience with the equipment and have timed competition to secure passengers properly. Safety procedures for the operation of the lift are discussed - these procedures include mechanical considerations as well as the safety of the passenger. ADA regulations concerning these procedures are explained. |
